TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY
|
|
In addition to the Filogix and Basis100 products which provide some data and document management, many large firms have developed their own document management systems using tools such as Lotus Notes and Xerox Docushare which provide generic document management tools. Paper files must be scanned into these systems which can then be custom configured in order to support internal processes. Character recognition software can be used to make the documents searchable online and easier to use and manage. Paper files can then be safely kept offsite in more cost-effective and secure storage locations. |
